Thin-film polyethylene, the material used in plastic bags, was invented in 1960. In just 60 years this material is now everywhere, including in our blood. Nature is littered with plastic wrappers and bags. The Flora-Fauna series speculates how animals will be able to camouflage themselves in our increasingly plastic world.
