MIA – Your slice of the American Pie
2013/2025
Made in America or Missing in Action both can apply to the American middle class.
I am interested in how critical data is processed, manipulated, visualized, and how overtime the data becomes irrelevant, all the while being used to justify policy.
The economic and employment data used to make these charts was from 2013. Numbers that once represented important information and stories of working Americans minimizes its importance and becomes unrelatable when reduced to a slice or a sliver. The works were completed in 2025.
